Powerball Jackpot RAISED to $850 Million!
Jackpot fever is rising all around the country as strong ticket sales have pushed the Wednesday, August 27 Powerball jackpot up to $850 MILLION! That is the sixth largest Powerball prize ever. The cash option for tonight’s jackpot is an estimated $383.7 million.
Powerball tickets start at $2 per play, with the option of adding the Power Play multiplier for an extra $1. Players must purchase their tickets before 8:59 p.m. to be eligible to win in tonight’s drawing. This will mark the 38th drawing since Powerball was last hit in May of 2025.
If a player wins tonight’s jackpot, they will have the choice between an annuitized prize estimated at $850 million or a lump sum payment estimated at $383.7 million. Both prize options are before taxes. If the winner selects the annuity option, they will receive one immediate payment followed by 29 annual payments that increase by 5 percent each year.
Powerball isn’t the only game that draws tonight with millions of dollars up for grabs! The Lotto America jackpot has climbed to $2.4 million, with tickets starting at $1 per play. Additionally, Super Kansas Cash has reached $1.15 million for tonight’s drawing. Players get two plays per dollar in this Kansas-only game.
Players are invited to submit all their winning and non-winning tickets in the Kansas Lottery PlayOn® Players Loyalty program to earn points for drawing entries and a chance to win cash and other prizes! PlayOn® is a registered trademark of Pollard Banknote Limited used under license.
