Multiple Kansas Players Win Millions in Powerball Drawing
After a near record-breaking run, the Powerball jackpot was finally hit on two tickets, one sold in Texas and one sold in Missouri! The Sunflower State was not without its own big winners, as two players have won million-dollar prizes, and another won a $50,000 prize in the Saturday, September 6 Powerball drawing.
One ticket sold in Northwest Kansas matched five numbers, but not the Powerball, to win $1 million. Another player who purchased their Powerball ticket through the Kansas Lottery app also matched five numbers but not the Powerball to win $1 million. However, this player added the PowerPlay multiplier to their ticket, which doubled their prize to $2 million!
The winning numbers in the Saturday, September 6 Powerball drawing were 11 – 23 – 44 – 61 – 62 Powerball 17, Power Play X2.
These were not the only big wins in Kansas that night! One ticket sold in Northeast Kansas matched four numbers and the Powerball to win $50,000! Players have 365 days from the date of the drawing to claim their prize. For a complete breakdown of winners, see Kansas Lottery website here.
Players still interested in a million-dollar prize are encouraged to consider the Holiday Millionaire Raffle. The annual raffle is a Kansas-only game, with only 150,000 tickets available. One ticket sold is guaranteed to win $1 million, and there are hundreds of thousands of dollars in other prizes up for grabs as well!
Players are invited to submit all their winning and non-winning tickets in the Kansas Lottery PlayOn® Players Loyalty program to earn points for drawing entries and a chance to win cash and other prizes! PlayOn® is a registered trademark of Pollard Banknote Limited used under license.
