Mega Millions Jackpot Climbs to $714 Million Ahead of Tuesday Drawing
TOPEKA, KAN. – The Mega Millions jackpot has continued its upward march, as the jackpot is set at $714 Million for tonight’s drawing. This will be the 9th largest jackpot in the history of the game, and the largest Mega Millions jackpot since December 2024.
Mega Millions tickets start at $5 per play, which now includes a randomly assigned multiplier to every play. The multiplier possibilities are 2X, 3X, 4X, 5X, and 10X. Players select five numbers from 1 to 70 and one Mega Ball number from 1 to 24. There are nine prize tiers, and no breakeven prizes as every ticket includes at least a 2X multiplier.
If a player wins Tuesday’s jackpot, they will have the choice between an annuitized prize estimated at $714 million or a lump sum payment estimated at $334.1 million. Both prize options are before taxes. If the winner selects the annuity option, they will receive one immediate payment followed by 29 annual payments that increase by 5 percent each year.
Players are also encouraged to take part in the annual Holiday Millionaire Raffle, which started on September 1. Only 150,000 tickets were available at launch, and as of this morning less than 70,000 remain! The next $30,000 Early Bird drawing is on Sunday, November 16, so make sure to get your tickets now to be eligible to win in all remaining drawings.
Players are invited to submit all their winning and non-winning tickets in the Kansas Lottery PlayOn® Players Loyalty program to earn points for drawing entries and a chance to win cash and other prizes! PlayOn® is a registered trademark of Pollard Banknote Limited used under license.
