$160,000 Super Kansas Cash Jackpot Claimed by
A retired Burlington Northern Santa Fe employee has claimed the
$160,000 Super Kansas Cash jackpot from the Saturday, October 20,
drawing. The Topeka resident, who wished to remain anonymous,
matched all Super Kansas Cash numbers, picking his own winning
numbers. The winning numbers were 02-12-16-19-21 Cash Ball
"I've been playing the same numbers for every Super Kansas Cash
drawing for a few years," explained the winner. "When I checked
Sunday's paper for the winning numbers, I couldn't believe what I
To make sure he was seeing the correct winning numbers, the
winner asked his son to double check them for him. Once he
was positive he had won the jackpot, the 77-year-old winner signed
the back of his winning ticket and waited until this morning to
claim his prize at Lottery headquarters in Topeka.
"Once we were sure I had won the jackpot, we gave each other a
lot of high-fives," said the winner. "This win came at a
great time. Now I can pay off a few bills."
When asked if he planned to continue playing the same winning
numbers,the winner didn't hesitate to answer.
"I don't see any reason to quit," said the winner. "Maybe
I'll get lucky and win again."
The jackpot-winning ticket was sold at John's Food Center,
located at 5812 SW Topeka Blvd. in Topeka. For selling the
winning ticket, the store will receive a $1,000 selling bonus.
