Wichita Resident in Shock after Paying Electric Bill - Wins
$100,000!
Thursday evening after work, Sandra Endicott of Wichita
stopped to pay her electric bill and received quite a shock after
leaving the store. While waiting in line to pay her bill, the
Kansas Lottery's $100,000 Crossword instant scratch game caught her
eye, so she decided to purchase one. Much to her surprise,
she revealed all 14 words on her ticket, winning a $100,000 top
prize!
When I stopped at the store, my only intentions were to pay my
electric bill," said Endicott. "As I was standing in line, I
noticed the $10 Crossword game and decided out of the blue to give
it a try. I usually buy the $2 Crossword tickets a couple
times a week."
After making her purchase, Endicott went out to her car where
she scratched her ticket.
"When I realized how much I had won, I just sat in my car for at
least 45 minutes staring at my ticket," said Endicott. "I
finally went home and showed the ticket to my two grandkids.
They were very excited when they saw how much I had won. But,
to be sure I hadn't made a mistake scratching the ticket, I signed
the back of it and had it checked at a store. I'll bet I was
up at least 10 times in the night looking at it."
Endicott, who works for SpiritAeroSystems in Wichita, plans to
purchase a newer car and pay bills with her winnings.
The winning ticket was purchased at EEI CS2, located at 731 N.
Ridge Rd. in Wichita.
