Wichita Man Wins $25,000 Prize at Favorite Store
Robert J. Bos, Jr., claims to be
something of a "fixture" at his favorite QuikTrip in Wichita. He
says he's there every day, drinking coffee and playing lottery
games.
"When I walk into the store they
all say, 'Bob's here!'" he said with a laugh. "I'm there so much
I've even gotten to be friends with the Lottery District Manager
who calls on the store."
Bos will have some great news to
share with the Lottery representative next time he sees him.
Namely, that he won $25,000 playing the $5 instant scratch game 10x
the Money.
"I'm beside myself with
excitement!" Bos told Lottery officials when he claimed his winning
ticket. "I don't think it's really sunk in yet."
Bos is retired from the military
and from the Veterans Administration. His wife Wendy works at the
Robert J. Dole VA Medical Center. Bos plans to spend part of
his prize money restoring a 1954 Ford Crestline car he acquired
five months ago. As classic cars can sometimes be, Bos said
this one is turning out to be "a money pit." The Lottery is
pleased to make that pit a little bit shallower.
The store where Bos purchased
his winning ticket - his favorite store even more than before - is
QuikTrip 329, located at 5602 E. Harry St. in Wichita.
