Bonner Springs Player hopes his Lucky Week Continues
Leon McGee, 35, of Bonner Springs is feeling pretty lucky this
week after uncovering a $20,000 top prize on a $2 Bonus
Crossword instant scratch ticket.
"After visiting my kids yesterday, I stopped to get cigarettes
and bought the Bonus Crossword ticket with the $2 I had left," the
winner told Lottery officials. "I didn't scratch it, though, until
I was at my friend's house about five hours later."
McGee described himself as "remarkably calm" after discovering
the large prize he had won. His friend, however, was a different

paying bills and possibly buying a new vehicle. He purchased his
lucky ticket at Discount Smokes, located at 13101 Kansas Avenue in
