Wichita Resident Wins $14,681 Playing an 8-Spot Keno
Ticket!
While playing in a pool league last Thursday, 26-year-old
Heidi Potter decided to try her luck playing Keno. The Wichita
resident played an 8-Spot Keno with the Bull's-eye option for five
consecutive games. As she watched the winning numbers come up
for each of her games, she was shocked to discover she had matched
all eight numbers on the fourth game she played, winning $14,681!
"When I was filling out my Keno play slip, I picked two numbers
and asked each of my friends to pick two numbers," said
Potter. "I was going to play a 9-Spot, but realized if I
played an 8-Spot, I could win the progressive jackpot. When
all my numbers came up, I looked at my friends and said, 'I think I
just won $10,000!'"
Players who purchase a 6, 7, or 8-Spot Keno ticket are eligible
to win progressive jackpots when they match all numbers on their
Keno ticket. Potter won an additional $4,681 by winning the
progressive jackpot, bringing her total winnings to $14,681!
"I hardly buy Keno tickets," said Potter. "It's always a
spur of the moment thing for me. After the bartender looked
up how
much I had won, our team didn't play very well that night.
We were all shocked."
Potter, a student at Butler Community College, plans to save her
winnings. She purchased her winning ticket at Judy's Club,
located at 1300 S. Seneca in Wichita.
