Royals Fan Wins $25,000 Top Prize Playing Kansas City

As an avid Kansas City Royals baseball fan, Erin Marshall
couldn't resist buying two of the Kansas Lottery's $5 Kansas
City Royals instant scratch tickets when she saw them this
morning at a convenience store. The Saint Joseph, Missouri
resident was in for a great surprise when she revealed a $25,000
top prize on the first ticket she scratched!
"I have 4-year-old twins who have autism, so I bring them to
Leavenworth four days a week for therapy," said Marshall.
"After dropping the twins off, I had some extra time on my hands,
so I stopped at a convenience store for a pop and a pack of
gum. When I was at the counter I noticed the Royals tickets,
and being a die-hard fan, I couldn't resist buying a couple."
After making her purchases, Marshall returned to her vehicle
where she proceeded to scratch her tickets. Much to her
surprise, she won a prize on each ticket. The first ticket
she played was worth $25,000 and the second ticket she played was

they're usually $1 or $2 games," said Marshall. "Since I had
some extra money in my pocket, I went ahead and bought the $5
