Wichita Resident Wins $20,000 Top Prize
Daniel Tiemeyer of Wichita seems to be on a winning streak
playing the Kansas Lottery's Bonus Crossword game. Last
Friday, the 50-year-old purchased a $2 Bonus Crossword ticket,
winning $500. Yesterday, he decided to try his luck again and
purchased the same game. This time, however, he walked away
with a $20,000 top prize by revealing all 10 words on his ticket!
Tiemeyer, who is an avid lottery player, enjoys playing the
Kansas Lottery's instant scratch games. The Wichita resident
often looks at the Lottery's website to see how many top prizes
remain on a particular game. When he noticed there was only
one top prize remaining on the Bonus Crossword game he purchased,
he decided to take a chance and bought a ticket
"Even though I've been lucky playing Bonus Crossword, my
favorite game right now is the $20 Casino Game Book," said
Tiemeyer. "One of these days I'm going to win one of the
$100,000 top prizes on that game."
Winning a top prize is nothing new to Tiemeyer. A few
years ago he won a $50,000 top prize playing a $5 Super Red Hot
Crossword instant scratch game.
"I'm going to keep playing," said Tiemeyer. "I'm going to
find another top prize soon. You wait and see."
The winning ticket was purchased at Dillons 84, located at 1216
N. Main St. in Newton.
