Coffeyville Mental Health Worker Celebrates Early Christmas with $10K Win

Kristy Lenington and her co-workers from the Four County Mental Health
Center in Coffeyville were on their way to a retreat in Joplin, Missouri, last
week. Before leaving town, they stopped at a Casey's, where Lenington picked up
a Casino Game Book to keep her busy while en route. 

The $20 instant ticket, which features several different games, not only
gave Lenington many minutes of entertainment; it also gave her many dollars of
winnings!  When she was done playing all
the games, she discovered she had won $10,000.

"I let out a yell I had won $10,000, but nobody in the van believed me
until I showed the ticket to them," Lenington said. "I never in a million years
thought I would be this lucky."

Lenington said the win couldn't have come at a better time. The single mother
of a seven-year-old son, who accompanied his mother to Lottery headquarters,
said they were "going to have a happy Christmas this year."

Her son added, "I think Christmas is right now!"

The Coffeyville resident purchased her lucky ticket at Casey's General
Store 1406, located at 104 North Cline Road in Coffeyville.
