Clearwater Resident in the Winning "Club" with $10,000
Prize
Last Friday, while purchasing Mega Millions tickets for the
record-breaking jackpot, Brian Christensen decided to purchase a
few Kansas Lottery scratch tickets, too. Although he didn't
win on his Mega Millions tickets, the Clearwater resident won a
$10,000 cash prize with the $120 he spent on $100,000 Club instant
scratch tickets!
"I bought $100 in Mega Million tickets and $120 in the $100,000
Club game," said Christensen. "I took my tickets home, sat on
the porch and scratched them. I was really excited when I saw
I had won $10,000. Out of the six scratch tickets I bought, I
won two $40 prizes, one $20 prize, and then the big one. I
wish I would have hit the Mega Millions jackpot, too."
Christensen, a daily lottery player, has had good luck playing
Kansas Lottery instant scratch games. In 2010, he won a
$2,000 cash prize playing a $2 Bonus Crossword instant scratch
game.
"When I buy scratch tickets, I usually buy the $20 games since
they have higher top prizes," said Christensen. "I've been
playing since the Lottery started in 1987 and I can finally say I
won a big prize!"
Christensen, who is single, plans to remodel his home with his
winnings. He purchased the winning ticket at Casey's General
Store 2871, located at 152 N. 4th St.
in Clearwater.
