Salina Accountant Counts His Way to Winning a $20,000 Top
Prize
A Salina accountant has counted his way to winning a $20,000 top
prize. On Monday, Aaron Reinwald purchased a $2 Bonus
Crossword instant scratch game, revealing all 10 words on the
ticket, winning a top prize!
"After scratching my ticket, I thought I had won $2,000," said
Reinwald. "I counted the words several time before I realized
I had won $20,000."
In disbelief, Reinwald showed his winning ticket to his wife
Melissa.
"He's always pulling my leg, so I didn't believe him at first,"
said Melissa. "After I counted the words myself, I couldn't
believe it. I was about to tell him to quit buying tickets,
too."
According to Reinwald, Bonus Crossword is his favorite game to
play and he purchases a ticket once a week. After taking his ticket
to a local convenience store for verification, the Reinwalds shared
the good news with their parents.
"Everyone is happy for us," said Reinwald. "Now we can pay
off our car loan and not stress about paying for daycare."
The Reinwalds, who have been married five years, have a
five-week-old son. Their winning ticket was purchased at Kwik
Shop 712, located at 305 W. Schilling
Rd. in Salina.
