"I was watching TV when the winning numbers came up on the
morning news," said the winner. "I was in a state of
disbelief when I realized I had won the jackpot. I couldn't
quit smiling and laughing. I checked my ticket several times
before I had it checked again at a convenience store. After I
left the store, I called the Lottery and had it checked yet

sitting down because I had some big news. She was as shocked
as I was when I told her we had hit a jackpot."
The winner and his wife have big plans for their winnings.
They plan to purchase a new vehicle, take a vacation and share a
portion of their prize money with family.
"We haven't told anyone we've won," said the winner. "Our
family will be very surprised when they find out."
The winning ticket was purchased at Shop Quik 12, located at 430
Fort Riley Blvd. in Manhattan. For selling the jackpot-winning
ticket, the store is eligible for a $1,000 selling bonus.
