Each of the Kansas Ready-Made Adventures lays out a 3-4 day trip, complete with maps and suggested itineraries, each centered on a unique theme. Themes include the Flint Hills, Cowboys & Cattletowns, Family Fun, Discovering Dinosaurs & Sea Monsters, and Quirky Kansas. To give visitors a visual sampling of what they’ll see, each Ready-Made Adventure is also showcased in a three-minute promotional video online.

The video featuring the Flint Hills as the state’s premier nature-based tourism attraction and home to the largest remaining stand of native tallgrass prairie in North America recently won a prestigious Bronze Telly Award. It was produced by the Travel & Tourism Division in conjunction with media production company Go World Productions and submitted to the Tellys in the “travel and tourism” category.

“We’re thrilled to receive a Telly Award for this Flint Hills promotional video,” said Becky Blake, Director of the Travel & Tourism Division. “The Flint Hills are a national and natural treasure, and we’ll continue to do everything we can to market the region to visitors throughout Kansas and the world.”

The Telly Awards annually showcase the best work of the most respected advertising agencies, production companies, television stations, cable operators and corporate video departments in the world. The competition receives more than 14,000 entries annually from all 50 states and many foreign countries.
