Kansas Lottery Players are Encouraged to Check Their Tickets;
$10,000 Winning Powerball Ticket Set to Expire Oct. 19!
The Kansas Lottery is encouraging its players to check their
online tickets. There are several large prizes unclaimed,
with two $10,000 winning Powerball tickets set to expire soon.
One ticket sold in northeast Kansas remains unclaimed from the
October 19, 2011, drawing. The winner of the ticket has until
5 p.m. October 19, 2012, to claim the prize. A second ticket,
also sold in northeast Kansas, is unclaimed from the November 2,
2011, drawing. The winner has until 5 p.m. November 2, 2012, to
claim the prize.
The northeast region of Kansas includes the following
counties: Marshall, Nemaha, Brown, Doniphan, Riley,
Pottawatomie, Jackson, Atchison, Geary, Wabaunsee, Shawnee,
Jefferson, Leavenworth, Wyandotte, Johnson, Wyandotte, Johnson,
Osage, Douglas, Franklin, Miami, Morris, and the northern half of
Lyon.
Other prizes expiring soon include: a $10,000 Mega Millions
ticket from the March 30, 2012, drawing (sold in south central
Kansas); a $10,000 Powerball ticket from the March 31, 2012,
drawing (sold in northeast Kansas); and a $10,000 Hot Lotto ticket
from the May 26, 2012, drawing (sold in northeast Kansas).
Players have 365 days from the date of the drawing to claim a
prize.
The Kansas Lottery encourages its players to check their tickets
immediately after each drawing. To view a list of unclaimed
