Players Club Members Choose the Next Kansas Lottery T-shirt
Design
Terry Atkinson, a 29-year-old Mulvane resident, is the winner of
the first-ever Kansas Lottery T-shirt Design Contest!
"It's awesome, I'm totally stoked. There were a lot of great
designs up there," said Atkinson.
For getting the most votes, Atkinson's design will be featured
on the Kansas Lottery State Fair shirt and he will receive a check
for $300 and $300 in 25th Anniversary Road Trip instant
scratch tickets.
"I'm probably most excited about the scratch tickets and the
possibility of what I could win," he said. "I might have some
friends over for a 'scratch party'."
Atkinson went with a vintage-style design to celebrate the
25th year of the Kansas Lottery. He kept the gold color
of the wheat stalk in the Kansas Lottery logo and added three more
colors that he felt complimented it.
Ellinwood resident Chris Robl's design won second place. For his
second place finish, Roble will receive $300 in 25th
Anniversary Road Trip tickets. Robl is a graphic designer at
Brickstreet Printing, a screen-printing company in Ellinwood.
Entrants had from June 6 until July 3 to submit original t-shirt
designs. Six designs were selected by Lottery officials, and then
voted on by Players Club members from July 11 through July 25. The
Kansas Lottery thanks all Players Club members who entered their
designs and voted in the contest.
