New Kansas Lottery Kansas Casinos Ticket Offers Casino Prize
Packages
It's not a bluff! Beginning this week, the Kansas
Lottery is giving players a chance to win great casino prize
packages in its Kansas Casinos second-chance drawing.
Beginning August 30, Players Club members who enter non-winning $10
Kansas Casinos instant scratch tickets will become eligible for the
April 26, 2013, online-only drawing. Players may also win up
to $75,000 instantly!
"The launch of this game is proof of the strong synergy between
the Kansas Lottery and its Kansas casino partners," said Executive
Director Dennis Wilson. "We believe the Kansas Casinos instant
ticket will be very popular with our traditional lottery players
and at the same time raise awareness of the entertainment
opportunities provided by the first-class casinos in Kansas."
Jessica Rabe, Director of Marketing for Boot Hill Casino &
Resort®, the first gaming facility to open in Kansas agrees the
partnership forged between state-owned casinos and traditional
lottery is a strong one. "We share the common goal of promoting
tourism and featuring the great destinations that exist right here,
in our backyard. For the Boot Hill Casino & Resort and
Dodge City package, guests will experience genuine hospitality and
a Wild West experience second to none," she said.
Bob Sheldon, General Manager of Hollywood Casino at Kansas
Speedway® added, "Hollywood Casino is very excited to be a part of
this new scratch ticket. The successful cross-promotion of the
casino and the Kansas Lottery together will generate additional
revenue for the state, benefiting all its citizens."
Six grand prize packages will be awarded in the Kansas Casinos
second-chance drawing. The six winners and a guest will each
receive a trip for two to Boot Hill Casino & Resort®, Kansas
Star Casino®, or Hollywood Casino at Kansas Speedway® for three
nights and two days. Each prize package also includes one
double-occupancy hotel room, a casino prize pack including free
play, a restaurant meal package, $2,000 cash, and mandatory state
and federal withholding taxes and other applicable taxes and fees
for the prize. Each prize package is valued at approximately
$5,300.
Entries will be accepted through the Kansas Lottery's website
beginning August 30, 2012, through noon April 23, 2013. When
entering the online-only Kansas Casinos second-chance drawing,
Players Club members will be allowed to choose the casino prize
package they wish to enter. The casino logos on the front of
each Kansas Casinos ticket, does not determine which prize package
a player must enter. For example, players may enter a Kansas
Casinos ticket with the Boot Hill Casino & Resort® logo on the
front into the prize package for the Kansas Star Casino®. If
players wish to enter the drawing for all three casino trips, they
must separately enter each drawing with a different Kansas Casinos
ticket. Players must keep all tickets they enter for the
drawing until all alternate drawings have been conducted, and must
produce their original Kansas Casinos ticket when claiming a
prize. Players may enter each drawing as often as they wish,
but may only win one casino prize package.
Once the drawing is conducted, an email will be sent to each
winner for address verification followed by a mailed claim
form. Winners have 30 days from the date the Kansas Lottery
announces the winners to claim their prize, or the winner will no
longer be eligible for the prize. Please note state law
prohibits the sale of lottery tickets to persons under the age of
18. State law also prohibits persons under the age of 21 from
participating in casino activities. To receive the casino
prize pack with free play, winners must sign up for the selected
casino's Player's Club.
