One Player to "Take it all" in Firecracker 50/50; Game Starts April 1

Lottery players asked for another raffle-style game in addition to the very popular Holiday Millionaire Raffle, and the Kansas Lottery is about to deliver one.

Starting April 1, the Lottery is launching a new game called the Firecracker 50/50, in which one player will "take it all" and win a whopping 50 percent of total ticket sales!*

Firecracker 50/50 tickets will sell for $20 each at all Kansas Lottery retail locations.  The more tickets sold, the higher the jackpot will be!  If 200,000 tickets are sold, for example, total sales would be $4 million and the jackpot winner would receive $2 million.  As the Firecracker 50/50 jackpot grows, updates will be posted on the Kansas Lottery website.

Ticket numbers will be printed in the order in which tickets are purchased, from 000001 up to and including 450000.  The winner must match their numbers in exact order to those drawn by the Lottery to win.  The winner must retain and present the original ticket to claim the jackpot prize.

Sales of Firecracker 50/50 tickets will end at 2 a.m. on July 2, 2013. The drawing will be conducted later that day and the announcement of the winning number will take place at approximately noon on July 2.  The announcement will be aired live on these television stations: KSNT 27 News/KTMJ FOX 43, KSHB Action News, and KSN 3.

The holder of the winning ticket will have 365 days from the date of the drawing to claim the ticket at Lottery headquarters.  For more information on the Firecracker 50/50 game, visit www.kslottery.com.

*The other 50 percent of Firecracker 50/50 total sales goes into the lottery operating fund, which includes transfers to the state, retailer commissions, vendor costs, administrative expenses, etc.
