Powerball Jackpot Climbs to $284 Million for Tonight's Drawing

Kansas Lottery players are playing for a life-changing Powerball jackpot tonight. Any ticket that matches all numbers will win or share an estimated $284 million jackpot.  The cash option on the jackpot is estimated at $162.7 million.  If the jackpot were to be won in Kansas by a single ticket, the winner would take home approximately $113.89 million, after taxes.

The Powerball jackpot has been rolling since a $71.5 million jackpot was hit in Missouri on Christmas Day.

Also rolling, the Hot Lotto jackpot, which stands at an estimated $3.37 million for tonight.  Taxes on Hot Lotto jackpots are paid by the Lottery, so the winner would receive the entire advertised amount of the jackpot.

Hitting the Super Kansas Cash jackpot tonight would win a player approximately $440,000. Super Kansas Cash jackpots are paid in a single cash lump sum, minus taxes.

No one captured the Mega Millions jackpot last night, so the jackpot rolls to an estimated $139 million for Friday night's drawing.

To have winning numbers delivered to their e-mail address, players can join the free Kansas Lottery Players Club by visiting www.kslottery.com.
