Lottery Supports Sunflower State Games with Special $1 Scratch Ticket

TOPEKA, KAN. - The Kansas Lottery is helping publicize the 2008 Sunflower State Games with a special $1 instant scratch game on sale now at Lottery retailers throughout the state. Players are able to win up to $3,000 on the Sunflower State Games ticket, the first one the Lottery has developed to help publicize the event.

“We think the Sunflower State Games are a great way to promote physical fitness for Kansans of all ages,” said Lottery Executive Director Ed Van Petten. “We’re happy to be able to help publicize this worthwhile event with the development of a special ticket. We believe the tickets will be a great avenue for reaching people across the state.”

The Sunflower State Games event is being held over three weekends in July at more than 30 venues in Kansas. The dates of the event are prominently featured in the ticket’s bright red, white, blue and yellow artwork. The ticket has two alternating scenes, with silhouettes of athletes in the play area of each scene. The “KANSAS, as big as you think” tagline is also printed on the ticket.

Players who get three like prize amounts on the ticket, win that amount. Players who get two like prize amounts and a star symbol, win TRIPLE that amount. Prizes range from a FREE TICKET up to $3,000. Overall odds of winning are 1 in 4.46.
