Application and Review Procedures Approved

TOPEKA, KAN. – The Kansas Lottery Commission today approved the Application and Review Procedures for lottery gaming facility management contracts, including the deadline for submission of applications, as required in the Kansas Expanded Lottery Act (SB66).

The deadline for applications will be 90 days following the certification of county elections to approve a lottery gaming facility in the county or counties designated as “gaming zones” in the Kansas Expanded Lottery Act. In “gaming zones” which include two counties, the 90-day deadline shall follow the certification of the election in the second county to hold an election.

The Application and Review Procedures for Lottery Gaming Facility Manager Contracts Pursuant to the Kansas Expanded Lottery Act are scheduled to be published in the Kansas Register May 17. The Application and Review Procedures become effective upon publication in the Kansas Register.
