Deadlines in Two Gaming Zones to be Extended
if No Applications Received


TOPEKA, KAN. – The Kansas Lottery Commission has voted to extend the deadline for the filing of Lottery Gaming Facility manager applications in the Southeast Gaming Zone, if no applications are received by the current deadline of July 15, 2010.  Thus far, the Lottery has received no new applications for the Southeast Gaming Zone.  If no applications are received by July 15, the deadline will automatically be extended to 2 p.m. on October 21, 2010.  In the event no applications are received by October 21, the Commission voted to extend the deadline to January 20, 2011.

The deadline for new applications in the South Central Gaming Zone is July 22, 2010.  Although the Lottery expects to receive one or more applications prior to the deadline, the Commission also voted that in the event no applications are received, the deadline be automatically extended to October 28, 2010 at 2 p.m.

The Kansas Lottery Commission met today via teleconference at Lottery headquarters in Topeka. The next monthly meeting of the commission will also be held via teleconference and is scheduled for August 18, 2010 at 11:15 a.m.
