Lottery Commission to Hear South Central Presentations
September 8, 2010
TOPEKA, KAN. – The Kansas Lottery Commission will hear presentations by Lottery Gaming Facility Manager applicants in the South Central Gaming Zone pursuant to the Kansas Expanded Lottery Act (KELA) at its next regular in-person Commission meeting September 8, 2010.
The Commission meeting will take place at the Kansas Lottery Headquarters and Claim Center, located at 108 N. Kansas Avenue in Topeka. The meeting is open to the public, but space will be limited. During the meeting, the Commission will hear short presentations from each applicant. The agenda is as follows. All times are approximate.
1:30 p.m. Regular monthly Commission meeting
South Central Gaming Zone Applicants:
2:30 p.m. Peninsula Gaming Partners, LLC
3:15 p.m. Global Gaming KS, LLC
4:00 p.m. Harrah’s Sumner Investment Company, LLC

The deadline for the Kansas Lottery Commission to negotiate contracts with developers is October 20, 2010. It is unknown whether the Commission will consider approval of contracts at the September 8 meeting, or if a vote will be conducted at a later date. All contracts approved by the Commission will be forwarded to the Lottery Gaming Facility Review Board for its consideration. After the Lottery Commission delivers contracts to the Review Board, the Review Board will then have 60 days to forward its choice to the Kansas Racing and Gaming Commission for backgrounds and final approval.
Parties interested in listening to the September 8 Lottery Commission meeting may do so by accessing the conference line at the Lottery’s expense. Note: Due to the nature of this meeting, it is unknown whether all presentations will be audible over the conference line.
