TOPEKA, KAN. – The three applicants seeking to manage a state-owned and -operated casino in the South Central Gaming Zone of Kansas will present their proposals to the Kansas Lottery Commission at 1:30 p.m. on September 8, 2010.

The presentations will take place during an in-person meeting of the Lottery Commission to be held at the Kansas Lottery Headquarters and Claim Center, located at 108 N. Kansas Ave., in Topeka, Kan.  The meeting is open to the public.

The developers that have submitted applications to manage a casino in the South Central Gaming Zone (Sumner County) are: Peninsula Gaming Partners, LLC; Global Gaming, LLC; and Harrah’s Sumner Investment Co., LLC.

The Lottery will write contracts with all developers that qualify and forward those contracts to the seven-member Lottery Gaming Facility Review Board for its consideration. The date for final approval by the Lottery Commission has yet to be determined. After Lottery Commission approval, the Review Board will then have 60 days to forward its choice to the Kansas Racing & Gaming Commission.
