Chisholm Creek Withdraws Application in South Central Zone

TOPEKA, KAN. – The Kansas Lottery was notified today by the Chisholm Creek Casino that it is withdrawing its application to become a Lottery Gaming Facility Manager in the South Central Gaming Zone.

Chisholm Creek requested a refund of the $25 million privilege fee it has paid to the State. The Kansas Lottery is processing the refund through the State Treasurer’s Office.

Keith Kocher, the Lottery’s Director of Gaming Facilities, anticipates that the Lottery will ask the Lottery Commissioners to re-open bids for the South Central zone when the Commission holds its regular monthly meeting on April 23, 2010.
